4 Italian airports face jet fuel restrictions – POLITICO

Four Italian airports are being warned they could face jet fuel shortages amid limited supplies from the key carrier.

An atmospheric information released on Saturday said that “due to the limited availability of fuel from Air BP Italia, refueling services for operators contracted by Air BP Italia may be restricted.” The airports affected are Bologna, Milan Linate, Treviso and Venice.

Italian news agency ANSA reported that Air BP Italia – a subsidiary of the British oil giant BP – told airlines that priority will be given to ambulances and government flights, including flights lasting more than three hours. Some flights may face restrictions until at least April 9.
