Best Dreo Sale Deals: Air Conditioner, Heater, Fans

I never thought I would happily eat a steak straight out of the air fryer. But the Dreo Chefmaker is also not just an air fryer.

Instead it is a meat machine. It’s one of the most interesting cooking devices I’ve tried in the last year, able to cook a ribeye steak to any temperature you set, then brown (though not completely sear) the outside at about 500 degrees Fahrenheit while locking in the moisture inside. The same goes for roast chicken. Or by cutting pork.

It’s not just an air fryer, you see, although it will absolutely heat up some wings or babies or chicks. It is also a combi cooker, which steams the oven to prevent moisture in large portions of meat. And it’s also a program-controlled probe cooker, which you can set to slowly bring the meat to a boil before finishing it off with a blast of heat.

However, it’s almost half off right now—or at least, 44 percent off—on the Dreo website during brand sales. This is the lowest price I have ever seen on this device.

Chefmaker Combi Fryer

To get access to the $200 Chefmaker, you’ll have to enter the code SPCHEFMAKER on the Dreo website after placing the device in your shopping cart.

Maybe this low price isn’t just spring fever. Dreo has long hinted that it soon plans to release a simplified, AI-driven successor called the Chefmaker 2. This price cut is a good sign that the second-generation device could be released soon. But if you like steak and chops that are easy to cook with delicious taste, and you don’t worry about AI recipes, just take a good price for this one.

Just remember that while a probe-assisted cook is well regulated on the temperature front, the thermostat on “classic” non-probe air fryers or toaster oven cooks can be off target by 20 degrees or more. This is true of most ovens, and it is true here.

More Dreo Spring deals

There are several other offers to note at Dreo’s spring sale. Dreo also does a number of WIRED favorite space heaters and fans. In particular, my smart bathroom heater, the Dreo Wall-Mounted Heater 517S, is on sale, which you can turn on from the safety of your bed before trying a cold bathroom in the morning. Editor Kat Merck recommends the 519 tower fan, which sports a brushless motor for longevity. With this plan, it comes with a 511S table fan.
