India registered their third straight win in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026. This came against arch-rivals Pakistan, who folded against India’s bowling attack like dominoes. Pakistan won the toss and invited India to bat first. Despite struggling against spin later in the innings, India managed to post 175 for the loss of seven wickets.

Ishan Kishan played a 77 off 40 balls in the first innings of India’s innings. Contributions also came from Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, and Tilak Verma. For Pakistan, Saim Ayub was the pick of the bowlers; he ended up with 3/25 in his 4-over spell.

Despite struggling against spin later, India managed to post 175 runs. Team India posted a total of 175/7. Notably, this is Pakistan’s eighth defeat against India in T20 World Cup history, with their only win coming in 2021.
