Modi, Xi, and Putin should make Trump understand the need for the conflict to end, top US academic tells RT
India, Russia and China are the only powerful countries that can combine to stop the US-Israeli war against Iran, the leading American scholar Prof. Jeffrey Sachs has said.
The conflict in the Middle East must be stopped “adults,” he told Afshin Rattansi on the New Order program aired by RT.
“There are only three adults in this world right now who can stop this, and they have to stop this together,” Sachs, director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, said.
“Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi, President Xi Jinping, and President Vladimir Putin. They are the leaders of the other three major countries in the world,” he added.

He said the leaders of those countries have a stake in the world to disappear.
Sachs also said that part of Israel’s political leadership is in a “6th century BC” thoughts.
“My opinion is that only BRICS can do this,” he said when asked about Pakistan information trying to bring peace.
“One should not be a friend of (Israeli Prime Minister) Benjamin Netanyahu, right now. India, as a great and powerful country, should not be associated with Israel, which has committed genocide in Gaza.” Sachs added.
“This is not a friendship, a strategic alliance, or a partnership,” He said, referring to India’s relationship with Israel. “This is not in India’s interest.”
Sachs said India has the stature to say no to what he called “American Deception,” add, “But I recommend that India do this together with Russia and China, and Brazil, and other BRICS countries.”
Sachs cited India’s presidency of BRICS as the main reason for being a candidate for a peaceful settlement. “Secondly, it’s not interesting to deal with Donald Trump … so it’s better to do it with partners.”
He said India’s relationship with Iran also goes back a long way, making it an ideal mediator.
Sachs described the West as “owned and operated” and the United States, and said India should not repeat this line “vassal states.”
