DOE: Philippines’ oil supply is good at 50.9 days
The Department of Energy (DOE) said on Monday, March 30, that the country’s oil inventory could last up to 50.9 days as of Friday, March 27, more than the 45 days previously estimated. Energy Secretary Sharon Garin attributed this to the replenishment of supplies used last week.
Garin also said that the Philippines bought more than 1 million barrels of diesel, 142,000 of which arrived from Japan last Thursday, March 26. The DOE expects to ship around 300,000 barrels from Singapore and Malaysia in early April.
