European Commission spokesman Thomas Regnier said in a statement the Commission has had “several productive meetings with Anthropic” and “welcome(d) the latest developments regarding possible future access.”
Anthropic revealed A story earlier in April, warned that the model beat most humans in finding and exploiting cyber security vulnerabilities. It raised fears that it could be used for large-scale hacking of critical and sensitive systems if it falls into the hands of cyber adversaries.

“These latest developments are very important to get a clear picture of the potential risks,” Regnier said, adding: “Let’s not forget that Mythos is not the only one, a new wave of powerful models is coming to the market.”
An ENISA official said the agency does not currently have access but is working to implement it.
The commission is officially working work plan responding to powerful AI hacking tools. It has indicated it wants to release it before summer break, according to an industry official.
