If you haven’t heard, Cristiano Ronaldo is set to enter the world of scripted television with a new drama about English football. The Portuguese star will create and appear in Day 1, a series that follows the life of a famous football design agent.
In the past Arsenal and French legend Thierry Henry is also expected to participate, when Country and Billions actor Damian Lewis will lead the cast as agent Stanley Dalton. According to The Sun, filming for the series has already begun at Barnet FC’s The Hive in north-west London.
What will the series be about?
Day 1 is the brainchild of football agent Darren Dein, who represents Henry and is also one of the show’s executive producers. The series will not feature actual footballers but will instead follow the character of Lewis Dalton, a leading football agent, and explore the world behind the game. The show is also expected to feature British rapper Dave and actress Carlotta Banat. Sounds exciting, right?
