Google has agreed to pay SpaceX $920 million per month for AI computing power through June 2029, according to the scientist’s filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The arrangement is valued at around $30 billion over the entire term and covers the lease of “approximately 110,000 NVIDIA GPUs, CPUs, memory, and other related components,” Business Insider reported Friday.
Google told the company that the deal is intended to meet the needs of Gemini Enterprise, its AI agent system, and described SpaceX as a long-term Google Cloud partner.
The agreement follows a similar deal with Anthropic in May. The developer of Claude AI confirmed that it will pay SpaceX $ 1.25 billion every month for access to its data centers. Data Center Dynamics reported that Anthropic’s contract runs through May 2029, putting the total value at about $45 billion over three years.
SpaceX said in its filing that the contracts allow it to monetize unused capacity while keeping the option to redeploy capacity for internal use.
