The break between the GOP and the president could have special implications for the ongoing war with Iran, said Nancy Youssef, a staff writer at Atlantiche said last night. “The idea that we’re starting to see a rift within (Trump’s) own party, I think, might give Iran an advantage in terms of pushing for a deal that’s more beneficial to them,” he said. “We’ve seen the president alternate between trying to end this war as quickly as possible and also getting broad, headline-grabbing results out of it.”
