“Last week, when I was just sitting on my couch and watching these guys play, I was like, ‘Oh, my goodness, I’ve got to keep going,'” Redblacks QB Jake Maier said. “It was nice to see because I think the league is prone to high offense. This could be as deep as the league has been in a long time in terms of offensive play and quarterback play. But you can’t live in that world, you accept play by play, and however the game goes, wherever it takes us, that’s where it takes us. I just think about how that game went last week. You never know what you’re going to get (Saturday), but, yeah, I would think he’s going to play well again, and he’s a great quarterback.
