A police officer and a citizen have been reported shot dead in a Canadian city, while the suspect is also ‘locked up’.
Three people have been killed in a shooting in Montreal, Canada, local media reports. The police have confirmed that one officer died and another was injured in the incident that happened in the neighborhood of Côte-des-Neiges in the center of the city.
According to the Montreal Gazette, one civilian and a suspected gunman were killed in the shooting.
Videos of the police intervention circulating on social media show that the shooting took place near the Supermarché PA store on Westbury Road. The surrounding area has been cordoned off by the police, while residents of the area have been told to stay at home and avoid going near windows. Photos show police fighting with a suspected gunman.
