During Australia’s match against the United States in Seattle, stand-up comedian Amos Gill turned FIFA World Cup 2026 he stands in his personal step. Armed with a camera and a sharp tongue, the Socceroos supporter fired off a number of songs aimed at American fans. The video, later uploaded to TikTok, quickly went viral, gathering hundreds of thousands of likes and spreading like wildfire across platforms.
What did he sing?
Standing next to an American supporter, Gill launched into one of the most controversial chants: “He’s one of you, one of you, Jeffrey Epstein he was one of you.” He followed it up with another jab, targeting a very sensitive issue in America: “Stand up if your schools are safe! Stand up if your schools are safe!” The song, sung to the tune of Go West, sparked instant reactions, laughter and anger.
He didn’t stop there. In another moment, Gill mocked America’s obesity rates, singing: “You’re fat, and you know you are. You’re fat, and you know you are.”

As expected, the internet had a lot to say, and it wasn’t unanimous. Many criticized the comedian for crossing the line, calling the songs offensive and inappropriate for an international sporting event, while some fans found the video amusing, praising the creativity and boldness of the songs.

This is not the first time that Australian fans have grabbed the headlines during the tournament. In the past, Socceroos supporters have been recorded singing about Donald Trump in the streets of Vancouver following the victory against Turkey.
