The Roosters hang as the Broncos slump to seven straight losses

It’s raining heavily in Brisbane as the teams come out for the second half, and Brisbane’s Jack Gosiewski gets the first goal after half-time after a hard tackle from Salesi Foketi. Gosiewski takes a little time to find his feet after that.

These conditions will make free-flowing attacks more difficult, but the Roosters like to gamble whenever they can – even this season when completion rates seem more important than ever. The Chooks completed just 63% of their first half sets, compared to Brisbane’s 82%.

Now the locker room is looking at a possible professional foul as Mark Nawaqanitawase was intercepted while looking for a bomb in the Broncos goal. Judgment is punishment but there is no sin bin or trial of punishment. Either way, the Roosters have a chance to regain the lead.

Broncos 16, Roosters 12 with 38 minutes left
