Bashira Issaka was killed inside her business premises in Cape Town last month, according to authorities
The South African police have offered a reward of 50,000 rand (about 3,000 dollars) for information that will enable the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder of Ghanaian citizens in Cape Town.
Bashira Issaka, 35, was shot dead inside the premises of her container business on June 29 after being told to pay a security fee, according to the South African Police Service (SAPS).
Police spokesperson Thembakazi Mpendukana said the suspects allegedly entered the business and demanded a security fee before shooting Issaka dead.
The police said that the investigators are following everything possible to identify and arrest those responsible for the murder.
“The investigating officer is investigating all avenues in a bid to bring the perpetrators to justice and contact the community for assistance,” Mpendukana said.
The Western Cape Police are now asking members of the public who may have information about the murder to come forward, assuring informants that their identities will be protected.
“Identities of those who provide assistance will be kept anonymous. A cash reward is offered for the successful arrest and conviction of the suspects,” Mpendukana said.
The case is being investigated by Sergeant Donovan Peterson of the Regional Violent and Serious Crimes Unit.
