A bad call is haunting the Storm now, as Will Warbrick skips Tyran Wishart’s bomb with Daniel Tupou, the ball hits a hand then finds the field, Oryn Keeley scoops it up and sends it to fullback Trent Toelau with the try line clear – but the referee calls play and rules it’s a knock on Warbrick.
Warbrick complains, and replays show that it was Tupou who touched the ball, but Storm doesn’t protest and tries to pray.
To add insult to injury, the Roosters immediately went down the other end and scored, Billy Smith finishing a brilliant backhand drive to the left to score. There is a question about a possible obstacle in the navigation, but the bunker proves to be a test.
