During his speech, Trump claimed that the US election is at risk of being influenced by outside forces – but the president has yet to provide any evidence to support this, Anne Applebaum, a staff writer at Atlantiche said last night. In addition, the United States has “a series of institutions that are designed to go back decades, that are designed to prevent foreign interference and other interference,” he continued. But “the Trump administration has systematically dismantled them.”
