Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu said the planes are “Shaheed-type drones” used by Russia. They may have crossed into Romanian airspace during the Russian attack on Ukrainian ports in the Odesa region on the Black Sea, near Romania’s southeastern border. The president of that country, Nicușor Dan, he described repeated raids as “unacceptable and intolerable,” saying it violated Romania’s sovereignty as well as NATO and EU airspace.

The ambassador was also information that the employee of the Russian Embassy in Bucharest will be declared an invalid and must leave Romania within five days.
