Coleman Wong Chak-lam said he got inspiration from two stars Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner after calmly ignoring the shock of opponent Damir Dzumhur to win in three sets and reach the quarter-finals of the Copa Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic.
The Hongkonger angered Dzumhur when he swung his fist at his support team after the Bosnian double-faulted to give Wong a 4-1 lead in the deciding set.
As Wong made his way to his seat, Dzumhur asked him angrily: “‘Yes’, for a double mistake, huh?”
Wong’s refusal to get involved further angered the former world number 23, who repeatedly demanded: “I’m asking you, ‘yes’, for a double mistake?”
Referee Raluca Andrei tried to calm Dzumhur, a three-time champion on the ATP Tour, as Wong pulled away, sipped his drink and looked ahead.

“Love, huh?” An increasingly angry Dzumhur repeated five times, before twice asking an unconcerned Wong to “look at my face and laugh”.
