Mohsen Rezaee, a member of the Achievement Recognition Council, said the initial conditions include compensation and security guarantees.
For the ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States to end, Iran must withdraw its military forces from the Persian Gulf, according to a member of Iran’s supreme leader’s advisory board.
Mohsen Rezaee, a retired major general and former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) added that Tehran will also seek full compensation for the damage done and guarantee Washington’s security.
In an interview with the broadcaster of Iran’s SNN television published on Saturday, a member of the Effectiveness Recognition Council said that “The presence of the United States in the Persian Gulf has been the main cause of insecurity for the past 50 years.”
“The end of the war is also in our hands,” Rezaee demanded, naming him “US withdrawal from the Persian Gulf” among the important requirements. In addition, Iran expects to receive compensation from the United States, he added.
According to Rezaee, the Islamic Republic has succeeded “break the honor of America,” and will eventually emerge from the ongoing conflict as a force and “Great stature in the region.”
In a post on X on Wednesday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also wrote that “The only way to end this war … is to recognize Iran’s legitimate rights, pay reparations, and provide strong (international) guarantees against future aggression.”
The following day, Iranian media reported the first public speech of the newly appointed supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, in which he also took the oath “take ransom from the enemy.”
Meanwhile, in a post on his Social Reality forum last Friday, US President Donald Trump said that “There will be no deal with Iran other than UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER.”
The US and Israeli military launched a massive airstrike against Iran on February 28, killing Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several top commanders.
In the first days of the military campaign, a suspected US Tomahawk missile destroyed the Shajarah Tayyebeh girls’ school, killing at least 175 people, mostly children. According to the Iranian authorities, more than 1,300 citizens have lost their lives in the US and Israeli attacks.
