Fifa boss receives 33% bonus boost after Club World Cup in US$6 million pay deal

Fifa president Gianni Infantino received a 33 percent increase in his annual bonus last year as part of a $6 million settlement announced Thursday by soccer’s world governing body.

Infantino’s annual base salary was unchanged at 2.6 million Swiss francs (US$3.3 million) and his bonus rose by 550,000 francs to 2.2 million Swiss francs in 2025, when Fifa hosts the month-long Men’s Club World Cup in the United States.

In each of the last two years, Infantino’s annual bonus was 1.65 million Swiss francs.

It was not clear whether the Fifa leader is eligible for additional payments including housing in his native Switzerland and Florida, where Fifa has a base in Coral Gables to host the 2026 World Cup across North America.

The Club World Cup, largely supported by Saudi Arabia’s funds, added about 2 billion US dollars to Fifa’s revenue, which is said to be at least 13 billion US dollars over a four-year period through this year’s World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
