In January, RTG discovered a spalling issue within the cartridge bearing assemblies, which caused OC Transpo to pull 41 train cars, leaving only 18 in service. According to the transport authority, 41 train cars were pulled for inspection and repair related to spalling because they had axles that had exceeded 100,000 km.
