“Every time this game will wake you up and kick you straight, and today it was like that for us.
“Our midfield is better than that. We know that, everyone knows that, but we didn’t have the expected result today and we had a lot of players down.”
Gold Coast were favored to secure a win which would see them start the club’s record winning streak so far this season.
“It’s sad, but I think people underestimate that side of the road,” Hardwick said.
“They have good experience and a scattering of youngsters.
“We look at the narrative and people look at the level last year, but the level last year is worth shit.”
