Viktor Orbán’s Brussels legacy – POLITICO

As a regular reader and JRR Tolkein fan Giorgia Meloni I will tell you, Sauron began as an angelic spirit whose love of order eventually turned into a lust for power and rule.

On a completely unrelated note, Viktor Orbán could lose his prime office this weekend if he loses to Péter Magyar. If that happens, the European Council will lose one of its most attractive characters.

Orbán is not the only leader to have wives private zoo – The former Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili has a shark tank, which may have been installed with a trap door so that opponents can be easily dispatched; and Chechen warlord (and notorious gnome impersonator) Ramzan Kadyrov is said to own tigers, lions and crocodiles. But the two have a strong chance of winning a seat in the European Council as the EU develops a unified foreign policy.

Orbán allows exotic animals, including zebra and the gazelleroaming around his property while still managing to twist the politics of the European Union. Back in 2018 the Hungarian leader even adopted a rhinoceros. It is not known whether it is an Indian rhinoceros (A rhinoceros) or the southern white rhinoceros (We are Ceratotherium), but there is no doubt of Orbán’s lineage as a Brussels irritation.

Owning exotic animals is a typical trait of a hardman, of course, and Orbán destroyed those qualities by playing with the late Chuck Norrisstar of “Walker, Texas Ranger,” and Donald Trump, star of “An Entire Civilization Will Die Tonight.”

Being the spouse and long-time admirer of Trump – and, lest we forget, Vladimir Putin – is controversial, but perhaps Orbán’s most divisive act was being photographed with a pizza with oranges as a topping.
