Organizers have announced the four-day Pride Land festival in the Dead Sea to be the largest gathering of its kind in the region.
Israel announces the new Dead Sea festival, Pride Land, as a festival “the biggest LGBTQ+ festival ever in the Middle East,” with the event billed as a four-day gathering focused on performances, parties, shows and geek culture.
Israel’s official account on X claimed on Monday that the festival will bring “Four days of endless celebration, community and connection.” The Jerusalem PostIt has also been described as the biggest festival in the history of the area.
According to the festival’s official website, Pride Land is scheduled for July 1-4, 2026, in Ein Bokek on the Dead Sea and is being marketed as a destination-style event rather than a single parade. Organizers are offering hotel and ticket packages, including all-access backpacks, and promoting the main event space called DOME X.

Festival materials say the program will include performances, parties, performances, art, and comedy culture – with separate pages promoting family-oriented activities and child-friendly areas as well as a wide array of entertainment.
The event is being promoted against the mixed legal status of LGBT rights in Israel. Same-sex marriage is not practiced in Israel because marriage is handled through religious authorities rather than civil law.
At the same time, Israel recognizes same-sex marriages performed abroad. Israel’s Foreign Ministry also says same-sex couples are recognized by Israeli courts in areas including adoption and family rights, helping make the country one of the most legal jurisdictions for LGBT people in the region even without domestic marriage equality.
The “greater” the label, however, appears to be a promotional claim rather than an independently verified record. Israel has long marketed Tel Aviv Pride as one of the largest LGBT events in the region. The annual event was canceled during the Gaza war in 2024, as well as in 2025 during the US and Israeli attacks on Iran.
