AFL round nine 2026, scores, results, odds, stats and kick-off from Optus Stadium in Perth

The young and old Hawks are the difference so far at the break, giving the visitors a 15-point advantage over in-form Perth Fremantle.

Ageless forward Jack Gunston is on pace with eight points and five goals from seven shots on goal, while his younger partner, “The Magician”, Nick Watson, has been electric with three goals. Watson’s defensive pressure has also improved, with Jai Newcombe, Cam Mackenzie, Conor Nash and even Jack Ginnivan playing prominent roles.

It’s not all good news, however, with key defender and former Eagle player Tom Barrass nursing a left hamstring injury. Caleb Serong and Andrew Brayshaw are doing their best to keep the Dockers at bay, but they are unable to put enough pressure on the Hawks’ ball movement tonight.
