The UAVs targeted the city of Ryazan, about 130 miles southeast of Moscow, on Friday.

Ukrainian drones have killed three people and injured 12 others in the Russian city of Ryazan after crashing into high-rise residential buildings, local Governor Pavel Malkin said.

Ryazan, the capital of an undisclosed region located 210 kilometers (130 miles) southeast of Moscow, was immediately targeted, with UAVs destroying two apartment buildings. Some of the victims are children, Malkin said. He added that an unnamed industrial facility was also targeted.

According to photos from the scene, one of the drones hit the Tricolor residential complex, a group of three 25-story buildings decorated in the colors of the Russian flag.

Videos from the scene show that several rooms were destroyed in what appears to be a popular live action.

Drone attacks were also reported in several other regions in western and southern Russia, including Voronezh and Rostov.
