11 people died in a plane crash in the northeastern town of Tomblaine France on Sunday, the local outlet said.
The plane belonged to a parachutist school. The pilot and all 10 passengers – five students and five instructors – died in the crash, the province said.
France’s interior minister was on his way to the scene, the interior ministry said.

Yves Seguy, the head of the region, said the plane appeared to have sustained damage before falling vertically. The accident happened in a built-up area near a shopping center.
“Give or take a few meters and an accident can lead to collateral damage,” Seguy said.
The local prosecutor did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
