A third teenager has been charged with murder following the stabbing death of a 15-year-old boy meters from a hospital in Melbourne’s north on Wednesday.
Mickleham teenager Darweish Mohamed was found seriously injured outside Craigieburn Community Hospital at around 7.50pm.
A member of staff performed CPR on Darweish in a car park off Lygon Drive, but he could not be revived.
A 14-year-old boy arrested by police on Friday has been charged with murder and is awaiting trial.
The charge comes after two other boys aged 15 and 16 were charged with murder. Their cases have already been brought to court and they were all remanded in custody.
In a juvenile court case on Friday, The judge was told that the 16-year-old accused had been charged for committing a non-bailable offence, after being charged and bailed by the police for a separate offense on June 27 – four days before the stabbing.
Police say the burnt-out car linked to Darweish’s death was found in Oaklands Junction, more than 10 kilometers from where the young man died.
Police have also charged a 20-year-old Beveridge man with criminal damage by fire, and a 15-year-old girl with assault and car theft.
