Adidas, Lenovo among the companies in China that give employees a holiday for the World Cup final

Several organizations in mainland China have announced a full or half day off for their employees next Monday so they can fully enjoy the FIFA World Cup final.

European champions Spain will face defending champions Argentina on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium to conclude the 39-day tournament.

Victory for Luis de la Fuente’s side would see the Spaniards add to their first title since 2010, while victory for the world’s best team and three-time champions would make Lionel Scaloni the first head coach ever to defend the World Cup.

Regardless of the result of New Jersey, Adidas, which is the clothing sponsor for both teams, seemed to be the biggest winner of the final of the world show, and they share the joy with their employees, announcing Thursday through the Weibo network, “Oh no, there is no work next Monday”, giving their employees the right to the day after the final on Monday.

“Spain will play Argentina in the ‘Adidas derby’ in the World Cup final, (and) to allow our colleagues to enjoy the match, all employees will be given one special day off, excluding those who have important work meetings scheduled,” said the statement.
