At the time of posting this, the Dockers have piled up 17 unanswered goals against an insipid North in Bunbury. We thought these days were over for the Roos. They should be, however.
But it got us thinking… what is the record for most consecutive goals in an AFL match since 2000?
The answer is 23, and Geelong against Freo, interestingly enough, in round 22 of 2018.
To break that mark, the Dockers will have to score another seven goals in seven minutes. It’s unlikely, but not impossible.
What that fact tells us, however, is how far the club can rise in eight seasons.
Hold on, Roos fans (and you too, Bombers).
