It’s been Steven King’s master class in the first quarter. Given their pre-season promise to be bold and dangerous, the Dees’ run and carry have torn Geelong apart and, if anything, Melbourne should be further ahead.
The Devils have already reached five points inside 50, continuing their dominance in that area with youngsters Jacob van Rooyen, Bayley Fritsch and Harrison Petty starting up front.
The problem is, the scoreboard doesn’t reflect their dominance. Shannon Neale is looking to take advantage of his match against the inexperienced Lukas Cooke and already has two goals to his name.
