AFL round nine 2026, scores, results, odds, stats and kick-off from the MCG

Collingwood coach Craig McRae has confirmed Scott Pendlebury will not play in Sydney next week despite tonight’s loss.

McRae said he would not change the plan and would select a suitable 23-man squad for Sydney, which is playing in a short period of time.

Then send Pendlebury back to their record at the MCG the following week.

“He’s not going to play next week,” McRae said.

He also did not rule out resting Steele Sidebottom but said he would wait to hear the GPS statistics for tonight’s match before making the call.
