The launch was anticipated at the NAC’s Kipnes Lantern in the first live broadcast on the transparent LED screens that illuminate the facade of the building, which faces Elgin Street in downtown Ottawa. The five-story glass tower was built as the centerpiece of an architectural project to update the brutalist building for the Canada 150 celebrations in 2017.
