LONDON – The British Ministry of Defense is investigating reports that a Russian frigate fired at a British boat in the English Channel.
On Tuesday a British-registered yacht claimed that a Russian naval vessel – the Admiral Grigorovich – had fired warning shots south of the Isle of Wight, outside British territorial waters, defense officials said.
No injuries or damage have been reported, and a military ship sent from the UK has visited the yacht to gather information and check that those on board are safe.
