Former Polish Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro is now in the US on a visa from President Donald Trump after fleeing Hungary. local media report.
Ziobro was in Hungary since 2025 after the former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán agreed the asylum of a disgraced minister. Hungary’s new leader Péter Magyar, however, promised to start a case for Ziobro’s extradition after taking power.
Ziobro is wanted in Poland for allegedly misusing public funds and distributing Pegasus spying software against political opponents. He has a streak he denied the chargescalling the investigation political hatred from the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk.
Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs he told local media Sunday that it had no official information on Ziobro’s whereabouts, adding that his passport had been cancelled.
