This smart mug is probably overkill. It has a smart app that notifies you when your coffee reaches the right temperature, and its internal light also provides a visual indicator that your brew is ready. It intelligently adjusts energy consumption to keep your drink warm when you’re around, and turns off when you’re not. The warming mug is sold in a few variations—10 or 14 ounces, in blue, white, black, and purple.
The cup offers up to 80 minutes of enabled warm-up time, or you can place it on the included charging coaster to keep the battery going all day. And you don’t have it need smartphone app unless you want to precisely dictate your coffee temperature—the cup defaults to 135 degrees Fahrenheit without your specific input.
Our main problem is that this proprietary heating system is not dishwasher safe. You need to hand wash each part, and make sure you do it carefully, because it is not easy to change things.
