To embody the character of Lucy, Brianna Brooks portrayed an innocent, yet increasingly psychotic character through skillful expressions and emotional outbursts. Brooks brought skill and horror to each of Lucy’s scenes. Likewise, the first of Dracula’s victims, Renfield, played by Liam Hart, revealed the truth of human nature and Dracula’s role in it. “He hasn’t created anything new, you know,” said the madman. Using spine-tingling laughs, harsh and offensive expressions, and a variety of insanity expressed through body language, speech, and emotion, Hart perfectly embodied Renfield’s depraved character.
