Lacson to give a fair speech on the report of the investigation committee on flood control


Unable to officially release the report of the blue ribbon committee’s flood control committee due to a lack of signatures, the chairman of the Senate blue ribbon panel presents their findings to the floor of the session through a privilege speech.

MANILA, Philippines – Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo “Ping” Lacson will deliver a privilege speech on the report of the Senate blue ribbon committee’s subcommittee on its investigation into flood control on Tuesday, May 5.

After several months of investigations into the alleged corruption of billions of dollars, the committee headed by Lacson has not yet officially released the report as only six senators signed it, short of the nine required to open and be funded.

And convey it through privileged speechLacson said the chairman’s progress report, with partial findings, could still be sent to the Department of Justice and the Office of the Ombudsman.
