A man has been arrested on the NSW South Coast and charged with the murder of a woman who was allegedly abducted from Sydney’s north-west.
Officers from the Parramatta Regional Police Command launched an investigation on Tuesday after reports that a 58-year-old woman had not returned home.
“Police were told the family last contacted the woman at 4.50pm on Monday, June 8, 2026, when she advised she was meeting relatives in Winston Hills,” NSW Police said in a statement.
The woman’s car was on Dodson Street, Winston Hills around 9.30am on Tuesday.
At about 1.40pm on Thursday, detectives investigating the woman’s disappearance under Strike Force Dizek arrested a 33-year-old man sitting in a white Toyota Hilux in a bush along the Parnell Fire Trail in Tomerong, about 20km south of Nowra and 200km from Winston Hills.
Police later searched for a nearby address in Sanctuary Point.
The man was taken to Nowra police station and charged with murder. He has been denied police bail and will appear in court on bail on Friday.
“The body of the woman has not yet been found,” the police said. The investigation is ongoing.
