The Duchess of Sussex has shared a never-before-seen photo of her and the Duke of Sussex wearing matching penguin outfits at their engagement party.
The photo was printed on paper and folded into a card from the Duke of Sussex to mark their eighth wedding anniversary.
Meghan shared the photo on her Instagram Stories, along with a series of 24 photos from their wedding day.
It was accompanied by a video showing the Duke entering their kitchen carrying a lemon-elderflower cake – which was their wedding cake – decorated with candles.
He sang “Happy Anniversary to Mom and Dad”, joined by their children, who were off camera.
While they were kissing, Binti Lilibet was heard shouting “hit them, blow them” before they lit candles to clap and cheer.
Meghan was then pictured smiling as she unveiled a small carved penguin keepsake gift from the duke, accompanied by a card addressed to “the one and only”.
He laughed as he explained to the children: “When Mom and Dad, we got married we had a party with all our friends and we said that everyone wears animal clothes, and we were penguins because they are together for life.”
Earlier in the day, the couple shared 24 previously unseen wedding photos – split into two sets – with their 4.5 million followers on Instagram, each with the caption “eight years ago today…” and a sun and moon emoji.
One set showed a happy couple in their element as they danced together Country of 1000 Dances and Wilson Pickett during their wedding reception on May 19, 2018.
Another showed them enjoying some private moments earlier in the day, greeting guests including Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, inspecting Meghan’s bouquet and posing for photos.
The couple married at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle before enjoying an evening reception at Frogmore House.
One of the new photos shows Prince Harry giving his wedding speech at St George’s Hall. In another photo, he raises his glass in a toast, and in another, the newlyweds kiss, champagne in hand.
There is a bird’s-eye view of the guests, a picture of Sir Elton John performing at the reception and a picture of Harry locked in a warm embrace with Izzy May, a close friend, who is believed to be the godmother of Prince Archie, 7.
Behind the three pictures, as the wedding party prepares to leave after the ceremony, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, Prince of Wales and nanny of the Queen of Wales of Norland, can be seen.
