NBA star Stephen Curry ends trainer freebie, signing with Chinese apparel company Li Ning

NBA star Stephen Curry has signed an endorsement deal with Chinese sportswear giant Li Ning, ending a battle for his signature that began when he left Under Armor last year.

The four-time NBA champion will be able to sign athletes to his Curry Brand under the terms of the new partnership, which the four-time NBA champion announced on social media on Tuesday.

Media in the US have reported that the agreement is for 10 years, although no financial details have been released.

“The future of the Curry Brand will be powered by a company focused on sports and innovation, a partner committed to creating quality products and shoes that I believe will continue to deliver at the highest level,” Curry said.

Golden State teammate Jimmy Butler is already on Li-Ning’s roster, as are hall of famer Dwyane Wade, former Warriors teammate D’Angelo Russell and Portland Trail Blazers 2025 China forward Yang Hansen.
