Under proposed bylawlandlords who wish to evict tenants for repairs or renovations will have to apply for a city license within seven days of issuing the eviction notice N13. To get a license, landlords would need to get a building permit before giving notice, provide information about tenancy and renovations, and prove they gave tenants a city-issued guide explaining their rights.
