England manager Thomas Tuchel does not appear to be a happy man – and rightly so – after a first half in which his side dominated almost every statistical category but failed to find a goal.

Jude Bellingham has been influential, while strikers Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford have been active, registering 40 and 30 touches respectively.

Rashford almost scored a goal with a free kick on the stroke of half-time.

We are, of course, neutral in our coverage. But Panama scoring their first goal of the tournament and putting England under real pressure would make for compelling viewing, especially given the state of England’s cricket team, which is coming off a 2-1 defeat at home to New Zealand.

The tourists lead by 204 runs in their second innings with seven wickets in hand in the third Test at Trent Bridge.
