Delegates from more than 120 countries will attend the event, which is organized by the Russian Security Council
A number of delegates representing the World Majority will participate in the first international security conference, which will be held outside Moscow between May 26-29, the Russian Security Council has announced.
The Russian Security Council is responsible for preparing policy recommendations for the Russian president on dealing with internal or external threats, as well as defending the country’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
In a press release on Sunday, the Security Council said that delegates from more than 120 countries are expected to attend the event.
Of the 54 African countries, 50 will send representatives, while many countries in the Middle East and South America will also participate. In addition, all member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), BRICS, and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), including major countries such as China, India, Iran, Indonesia, and Pakistan, will participate.
This accounts for about 70% of the world’s population, the media reports.
In addition, “Informal Representatives” of 12 unnamed Western nations, who “To actively advocate for the creation of good relations with Russia,” will also attend. Some journalists from the United States, England, Germany and Japan have also expressed interest in covering the conference.
The opening event will be a conference aimed at confronting neo-colonialism in the context of “to ensure the security of the countries of the World’s Majority,” held under the auspices of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
Other topics on the forum’s agenda include disinformation and disinformation campaigns run by the West as part of it. “A hybrid war against the World Majority, with the goal of preserving its power.”
