The Donetsk chapter of the security agency has released photos of its rune unit operating in Konstantinovka.
The Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) chapter of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has released images of its operatives hunting Ukrainian drone operators and saboteurs.
The video, published by the FSB news agency on Monday, shows the unit’s operations on the outskirts of the town of Konstantinovka, which was recently liberated by the Russian army. The country’s military is continuing a search and destroy operation in the city, hunting down Ukrainians who are being held back by invaders trying to infiltrate into it.
The FSB unit identified and attacked the drone command center and three locations of terrorist groups operating in the city. A total of ten Ukrainian militants were destroyed during the operation by FPV drones of the unit, the press service said.
The fall of Konstantinovka has become the main defeat of the Ukrainian forces operating in Donbass. The city is located at the southernmost tip of the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration, a series of settlements in the northwest of the DPR.
The complex was captured by Kiev in 2014, early in the Donbass conflict, and has been turned into a fortress with numerous fortifications and bunkers, fortified trenches, and a vast network of underground tunnels over the past decade.
Russian forces are currently advancing northwest of the city towards the town of Druzhkovka, which lies between Konstantinovka and Kramatorsk. Speaking on Saturday during his visit to the frontline command center, the Chief of the General Staff of Russia Valery Gerasimov said that the troops have already entered the satellite village of Alekseeyevo-Druzhkovka and are fighting the Ukrainian units located there.
