Stell, Pablo, Ken, Justin and Josh of SB19 are set to make history as the first P-pop group to throw out the opening ceremonies in Major League Baseball.
MANILA, Philippines – SB19 joins the growing list of legendary Filipinos who have thrown the first pitch in the game of Major League Baseball.
And the star of Stell, Pablo, Ken, Justin, and Josh is about to become the first Filipino group to do so as it will participate in the throw-in event when the host Chicago White Sox take on the New York Yankees at Rate Field on July 29.
Other Filipinos who had made their debut in the MLB game in previous years include boxing star Manny Pacquiao, beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach, actress Liza Soberano, soccer player Sarina Bolden, and athlete Aleah Finnegan.
The MLB appearance is part of an international SB19 promotional tour that will take the group to the United States and Japan.
SB19’s US tour includes performances at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, California, on July 28 and at the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago, Illinois, on July 30.
The P-pop group will head to Japan for another concert at Summer Sonic, first in Osaka on August 14th, then in Tokyo on August 15th.
The tour also features fans thanking “I Was There” in California, USA, on August 8 (Sacramento) and August 9 (Rohnert Park), and in Yokohama, Japan, on August 18. – Rappler.com
