On Jan. 8, Ottawa police were investigating an alcohol theft when the incident occurred, according to a May 4 release from the SIU. It said an officer was inspecting a bottle in a bag at the entrance of Walmart on Ogilvie Road when a man took one of the bottles and claimed it was his before the officer returned the bottle.
