On July 13, 2024, Steve Desroches, Councilor for Ward 22, Riverside South Findlay Creek, wrote to the Citizen about traffic problems in his ward. He supported additional river crossings “as well as a future southern ring road.” Since then, I have not seen or heard anything about the southern ring road. There is a great need for someone to remove from the Queensway traffic that goes to points East and West, without needing to be anywhere near the city of Ottawa. This need has been felt for a very long time.
