US President Donald Trump on Sunday announced that the US will continue peace talks with Iran’s representatives in Pakistan on Monday – even as he continues to threaten civilian infrastructure in the region.
Inpost on social mediathe president accused Iran of violating the ceasefire and ramming several European ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Now, Trump said, “many” ships are heading to the United States to “load.”
“We are offering a very fair and reasonable DIAL, and I hope they accept it because, if they don’t, the United States will take out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran. NO MORE MR. NICE GUY!” Trump said.
“They will go down quickly, they will go down easily and, if they don’t take DALI, it will be my honor to do what should be done, which should have been done to Iran, and other Presidents, for the last 47 years.” “IT’S TIME FOR THE IRANIAN KILLING MACHINE TO END!”
Scholars of international law havehe warned earlierthat strikes on civilian infrastructure may constitute war crimes. But talks between the US and Iran have become increasingly tense as the US blocks the Strait of Hormuz. Iran soonvowed to preventthe number of ships that can pass through the straitand scoffed at the European Union’s requestreopen it.
Trump on Sunday called Iran’s announcement “extraordinary,” saying U.S. sanctions had already been lifted.
“They are helping us unknowingly, and they are the losers in a closed way, 500 Million Dollars a day!” Trump said.
Trump has warned that sanctions will remain in place and bombings could resume if a deal is not reached before the ceasefire expires this week. Peace talks in Islamabad last week, led by Vice President JD Vance, collapsed. But while the vital waterway remains closed, oil prices have soared, sometimes pushing $100 a barrel.
