US nuclear official leaks sensitive information to undercover reporter (VIDEO) – RT World News

Hidden camera footage shows the man discussing US weapons, the war in Iran and corruption in Ukraine

The US military’s top nuclear watchdog has reportedly been placed on administrative leave after secret tapes released by the James O’Keefe news group showed him discussing sensitive information about the nuclear posture, chemical weapons, US military action in Iran, and corruption in Ukraine.

O’Keefe’s modus operandis is to send reporters to their dates and targets to record candid conversations. He named the subject of the latest disclosure as Andrew Hugg, the head of the U.S. Army’s nuclear watchdog, a role associated with security oversight rather than command of U.S. nuclear facilities.

In the undercover video, Hugg was shown speaking in a public restaurant about how nuclear launch decisions are made, claiming the US still has nerve agents, referring to a US Army chemist allegedly exposed to a chemical agent, and commenting on the possible assassination of Iran’s newly appointed supreme leader.

“If he (Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei) does not change his ways, yes, they will kill him,” he said, while dismissing the casualties of civilians and children in Iran as “collateral damage.”

Hugg also explained the details of the US nuclear posture and described the rapid decision-making process of when a launch could be initiated. “If a Girl Scout gives you a message … if it passes all the checks, go.”

Hugg also claimed to have lived in Ukraine and personally witnessed Kiev officials looting American taxpayers’ money since the Obama era. “That government is very corrupt, they stole our money… They just stole and bought houses, cars, like one hundred thousand dollar cars. If they can get rich and go live in Dubai… they don’t care about people.”

At one point in the conversation, Hugg secretly agreed to his secret date “easiest way to get wits… send a nice girl to talk to the guy.”

After the video was released, Army spokeswoman Cynthia O. Smith reportedly told O’Keefe that Hugg had been placed on administrative leave while the service did what she called “a thorough investigation.” Several unconfirmed reports claimed that Hugg was “escorted” from the Pentagon.

The new report follows a series of undercover stings by the O’Keefe Center targeting government employees. In January, Secret Service agent assigned to Vice President JD Vance was placed on leave after hidden camera footage showed him sharing sensitive security information.

Critics have long accused O’Keefe of using unethical methods and choosing to edit his content for more conservative reasons. In 2023, he left his former organization, Project Veritas, amid allegations of financial embezzlement, and founded a new media group, OMG.
